Gerbils need lots of toys such as: cardboard toilet paper rolls and chew sticks. Items of pine or ceder are not recommended as well as  plastic or soft cotton stuffed toys.  

All gerbils love wheels but, make sure it is a “safe wheel” so their feet or tails don't get caught. Also, remeber to follow all manufacturer instructions conserning the wheel you choose, as ones, improperly installed have been know to come loose while in use and can cause serious injury or death to your Gerbil.
